Description:   The objective of the EERE Postdoctoral Research Awards is to create the next generation of scientific leaders in energy efficiency and renewable energy by attracting the best scientists and engineers to pursue breakthrough technologies in a highly prestigious postdoctoral research program.

Discipline(s):   life, health, and medical sciences; mathematics; computer science; physical sciences; earth, environmental, and marine sciences; engineering

Eligibility:  U.S. Citizens and Legal Permanent Residents. Have a Ph.D. for no more than five years from the application deadline or be expected to complete all the doctoral degree requirements by September 30, 2012.

Location(s):   Various locations across U. S. Locations outside the U.S.

Duration:   one year appointment, renewable up to a total of two years
